You may be feeling utterly alone and feel that you have exhausted all sources of help, or support. We are so glad you have found us!!

MOMS Canada exists solely to help you the single parent.

• We match you with a mentor who is ready to listen, encourage, pray with you and offer wisdom from her wealth of knowledge and life experience of raising children.

We offer individual and ---soon group counseling from qualified counselors.

We connect you to services in the community like Bredin Institute, and Alberta Works programs to help you prepare resumes, prepare for job interviews, apply for student loans, or find that course or upgrading you need or even enter a new career field.

We make contact with volunteers who help with confusing paperwork like tax returns and child tax credit forms or maintenance enforcement. If you are facing legal issues and just need some extra support we will be there with you in court. If your child is struggling in school we help find tutors and homework assistance.

When financial crisis comes and you need a little extra help to make ends meet we provide emergency food cards, gas cards, or pay utility bills or help with rent payments.

We offer a car assistance program. When you become a client with MOMS Canada you are entitled to free labour on all car repairs through our specialized mechanical services in Edmonton at Arena Auto Service.  If you are unable to pay for parts MOMS Canada pays for parts needed for your car to be safe and performing at optimum so you can get to work or school.

Each month we provide an opportunity to meet with other moms and have a break. (see news page for all the details)

MOMS CANADA provides mentors to single moms in a safe Christian based environment, everyone is welcome. The whole premise of our organization is to help single moms with young families become successful members of the community and raise healthy happy children. We help moms build better self-esteem through mentoring and services that provide support.

We help teach life skills, and ways to ‘get out of the box’ of feeling alone, exhausted and hopeless. We help women build a successful life through work, finding a job, finding help to care for children and to continue education. Long term support from mentors, and staff endeavor to help in troubling times.

We endeavor to fill the gaps the public services are unable to meet. Our volunteers have raised families of their own and know the hardships and heart wrenching moments many single moms go through. You are not alone anymore!

Mentoring relationships offer flexible and responsive care when no other service can.

With the aid of long term support from mentors, staff, and the community MOMS Canada seeks to empower single women to believe in themselves and in what we can accomplish when we work together toward a common goal.
